Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of the Foundation app. Installing or using it means you accept them.
What Foundation is
Foundation is a personal tracking tool. It records what you enter and reports it back to you. It is not a medical device, not a health professional, and not a financial adviser.
Nothing in the app is medical advice. Calorie targets, macro splits, maintenance estimates and bodyweight targets are arithmetic performed on figures you supplied. Speak to a doctor or a dietitian before changing how you eat or train, particularly if you have any health condition.
Nothing in the app is financial advice. Balances, net worth, budgets and investment values are a record of what you entered plus, where shown, a live market price fetched from a third party. Prices may be delayed, wrong, or unavailable. Foundation does not recommend, and no figure it displays is a projection or a promise of any outcome.
Your account
You need an account to use Foundation, and you are responsible for keeping your password safe. You must be at least 13 years old.
You keep ownership of everything you record. You grant us only the permission needed to store it and sync it to your own devices.
Foundation Pro
Foundation is free to download. Manual logging of workouts, money and calories is free and stays free. Foundation Pro unlocks the rest.
- Pro is an auto-renewing subscription at $9.99 per month, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- It renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the period.
- You can manage the subscription, or turn off auto-renew, in your Apple ID settings after purchase.
- If you have a free trial, any unused part of it is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- Prices may vary by region and may change. You will be told before any change affects you.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Purchases are made through the App Store, so refund requests go to Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com.
If a subscription lapses, your data is not deleted. Pro features stop being available, and everything you recorded is still there and reappears if you subscribe again.
Fair use
Do not attempt to break into other people's accounts, disrupt the service, reverse engineer the app, or use it for anything unlawful.
Availability
Foundation is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and correct, but we do not guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors. Sync depends on your internet connection and on services we do not control.
Keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose. Settings includes an export.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Foundation, including lost data, lost income, or decisions made on the basis of figures shown in the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Ending it
You can stop using Foundation and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top will change. Continuing to use the app after that means accepting the new terms.
